Corinne Bracken goes for all things that glitter!
Last January, following the resignation of Mike Florence as Junior & Young Rider Chef d'Equipe, Corinne Bracken, who had held the position of Team Coach to the British Junior & Young Rider Teams, for the previous three years, accepted the position of Chef d'Equipe, integrating both positions into one.
At the time Corinne said:
"I am delighted to accept the position of Junior and Young Rider Chef d'Equipe. This is a challenging role however I look forward to focusing on winning yet more medals for Great Britain at this level. I am passionate about the youth side of our sport and am looking forward to working with the Teams in the forthcoming months. I hope that under my leadership we can continue to be one of the top European nations in this category".
..............................................................................and she has certainly achieved all she set out to do!
Corinne has just returned from the Young Rider/Junior/Children-on-Horses Championships in Jardy, France, and although the junior and young rider returned empty handed on this occasion, the children-on -horses squad upheld British honour and brought home team gold and individual silver medals. This is the second year running that they have won team gold on a zero score which is an unbelievable achievement.
Corinne has been a Haddon Training Assessor for many years now, previously based at Thundry Farm, she is now assessing in a freelance capacity (when her duties as Chef d'Equipe allow). Many congratulations to Corinne and her gold medal winning team.
