
The Location is responsible for undertaking the day to day training of the Learner, as you would with any new trainee or member of staff. You will be responsible for:
•allowing the learner to develop practical skills
•allowing the learner to attend lectures and practical demonstrations given by their trainer
•allowing the learner to attend lectures and practice demonstrations given by a visiting expert (vet, dentist, therapist)
•supporting the learner through their preparation for, and participation in events
•arranging visits to equine and animal care events
Your staff are trained by you in such a way so that they are able to fulfil all your day to day requirements to meet your own individual business's standards. HT does not interfere with the day to day running of your yard.
The location is responsible for the learner's wages which must meet the statutory minimum wages or government training programme requirements. All employees/learners must have a Contract and have a written Statement of Terms and Conditions of Employment. Employee records must be kept.
The location is responsible for ensuring that there is a written Health & Safety Policy and an Equal Opportunities Policy, both of which must be adhered to.
