Your business runs on a daily basis as it usually would. Your learner carries out routine tasks as any other trainee or employee would with or without supervision as dictated by their experience and level of qualification. You continue to train your trainees and staff in your specialised area, this may be by practical demonstration or hands on involvement.
HT ensures that to the best of their ability your routine is not interrupted. Your allocated assessor will visit the location as required to carry out practical assessments and review the learner progress. We try to make ourselves as inconspicuous as possible whilst having the opportunity to watch the learner carry out pre-arranged tasks that would form part of their normal working day.
The learner's Individual Learning Plan is agreed with the learner and the trainer based upon what work the location will be undertaking according to the season and time of year. We do however ask that when convenient, your learner is given sufficient pre-arranged time to spend with their assessor to cover their Key Skills, Technical Certificate and Portfolio building.
The assessor that we allocate to your business will have vocational experience in your area of work. They will be qualified and industry competent with training and assessor qualifications - they have an understanding of the day to day running or your yard and can help the learner to appreciate what you are trying to achieve.
