Straight from the horses' mouth! .............
Not quite big enough for a full page spread with photos but as with any achievement, certainly worth mentioning - here you will find snippets of news as it comes in on a regular basis.

In the past two week she has been placed 2nd in her BE 90 Bold Heath section; was placed 2nd in her local Hunter Championship show with a 6th in the Workers and a 6th in the Middleweights as well. Cracking riding Tomomi! | 27.07.11 TOMOMI UEDA has had a storming winning week! Last weekend she won the Area 20 British Riding Clubs Show Jumping Senior Style qualifier and was 6th in the Intermediate Qualifier out of 55 competitors. She was also 4th at Stafford BE Horse Trials in the BE90 last week. Tomomi who is mentored and assessed by Haddon Training's Regional Account Co-ordinator and IV, Kate Carman is currently undertaking her Level 3 NVQ in Horse Care with Haddon. Well done Tomomi and kick on! | |
| 22.04.11: JESSIE VANASSCHE rides at the Badminton Horse Trials Grass Roots Championship. Haddon Learner, Jessie had a very successful day at the Badminton Horse Trials Grassroutes BE 90 Championship last week. Jessie, who is trained by Robert Pickles and is based on the Isle of Wight, made the journey to Gloucestershire last week having qualified for the Championship at West Wilts last August. The competition (and the weather) was particularly hot and Jessie, having done a very respectable dressage test (35) then had an unlucky pole down in the showjumping. Clear cross country well within the time, the pole down in the showjumping sadly put her into 40th position out of a field of 81. Possibly not the placing she had hoped to finish on but a very creditable start to her eventing year. Well done Jessie and very best of luck for your forthcoming season. | |
27.03.11: ZAC BAKER rides his first Point-to-Point Winner. Haddon Learner, Zac was still 16yrs old when he rode Penric to win the Men's Open at Hackwood Park on Sunday 27th March. Penric is 11yrs and had previously only won a hurdle race back in 2005. The old boy was given to Sarah Bosley as a hack and due to his high spirits they decided to give him a try pointing. This was Zac's 6th ride in a Point-to-Point having already had two fourths on Sarah’s maiden Brave Boogie. Sarah say “Zac has a good eye when placing a horse at a fence and rides with confidence. Recently riding in his first flat race at Wolverhampton finishing 5th only beaten a length and a half: again he gave the horse a great ride. We are hoping to run the Point-to-Pointers this weekend (end April) but with no rain it is looking unlikely. We have more entries for May and onwards. Zac is now seventeen he is looking forward to more rides in the very near future.” For more info on Martin & Sarah Bosley's yard and to read their blog please go to: |

Grooming for her this year is prospective Haddon Training Learner, CHARLOTTE BLAIN . Charlotte was due to sign up for her Level 2 Horse Care Apprenticeship during the Autumn but naturally her grooming duties took precedence. Last year Haddon Training Learner GEMMA MADDOCKS groomed for Judy on the Sunshine Tour. Gemma featured on the Haddon website in 2009 for her own dressage triumph at Addington. The pair who have just affiliated with British Dressage won the Novice 27 at Port Royal EC on 6th July and then went on to win the Novice 22 and 37 qualifier at Snainton RC on 8th July.
