Are NVQs recognised as worthwhile qualifications ?

Yes!

An Apprenticeship at Level 2 is considered the equivalent of five GCSEs and an Advanced Apprenticeship is considered the equivalent of two A Levels.

Anyone wishing to go back into further education can use an Apprenticeship as an entry qualification. Added to this, potential employers will know that you have practical knowledge and skills and that you can be trusted to put these to good use. They will be able to see clearly from the units you have achieved that you are working to a well respected and national standard.

Employers strongly believe that vocational qualifications truly show that you are a 'hands-on' competent person. Employers who choose to support vocational training programmes show they are training to a national standard and believe in the future of their industry.
