We are delighted to work closely with TA Sport Stars, a fitness and teamwork focused experience for children and young people across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. TA Sport Stars, who run holiday camps and after school clubs, champion our business apprenticeships in the fitness industry.
We caught up with Operations Manager, Josh King, who is completing a level 3 team leader/management apprenticeship, and Sports Coach, Kyle Cross, who is completing a level 2 community sport activator apprenticeship with us.

Josh says, “Since starting my apprenticeship, my confidence and knowledge around coaching and managing a team has grown significantly. I understand how different people work in a group and what techniques I can use to get the best out of my team. I also coach at Wantage Town Football Club for the Men’s Development team, so I will be able to put my skills and knowledge into practice for the current season.

It has been very exciting to see, and be part of, Haddon Training’s interest in local sporting ventures and we hope that many of our players will complete apprenticeships with them in the near future.”

Kyle added, “I really enjoy my community sports activator apprenticeship. With guidance from my Trainer Coach, Jo, I have also started assisting coaching her under 14 girls’ team at Wantage Town Football Club. A year ago, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to stand up and lead a group activity session, but with support from Jo and my colleagues, I now have the skills, knowledge and confidence to do this, which is really rewarding. I have seen real progression with my planning and organisation skills, which will help me in the long term when I look to start my own football team within Wantage Town.”
