Gilly has always had a love of animals, previously owning 2 horses, several dogs and a variety of ‘small furries’ while her daughter was growing up. She began her career working with animals as a volunteer adoption assessor for SN Dogs and combined this with volunteering as a co-teacher in puppy training and agility classes.   She went on to win the Steve Ridge Adult Learner Award in recognition of voluntarily mentoring and academically supporting students from 19yrs – 60yrs.  Gilly studied at the University of the West of England, Hartpury University Centre in Gloucester where she completed her BSC (Hons) in Animal Behaviour & Welfare and then went on to complete a Masters in Anthrozoology. She has a passion for learning and sharing knowledge in all areas of animal behaviour, care and welfare.  With a proliferating interest in animal research and behaviour, particularly equine/canine she is a committed and dedicated Trainer-Coach who strives to support her learner’s in all aspects of their apprenticeships.  In her spare time, Gilly enjoys fun agility with her dog and co-teaching puppy training classes.
