S.P.A.C.E
S.P.A.C.E (Special Provision Assisting Children’s Education) aim to provide an immersive environment for young people to thrive. Their starting point is to use the horses and tranquil, outdoor environment to provide a nurturing, enriching, educational experience.
More about S.P.A.C.E
S.P.A.C.E evolved from observing and listening to the young people already attending GLH Equestrian as pupils at Yaxley Manor. It became apparent that for some young people the equine setting was simply a better learning environment than a traditional educational one. Partly by requests from parents, they became involved in providing a unique provision, with a focus on offering qualifications based entirely on the student’s needs and interests rather than a rigid curriculum. They were in the fortunate position of having highly experienced teachers of both primary and secondary pupils in their team, as well as talented equestrian coaches and international riders. Combined with their amazing facilities and space it meant that they were able to develop an outstanding environment for young people’s benefit. This has been an exciting time for their team, providing a solution to the challenges witnessed as teacher’s in the classroom. They are able to really improve young people’s life chances.
