Celebrating Apprenticeship Success: Holly’s Story

We are delighted to congratulate Holly on successfully completing her Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship at Eilberg Dressage, a leading UK dressage yard renowned for producing horses and riders to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Starting her apprenticeship in August 2024 at 17 years old, Holly became an integral member of the team, supporting the daily management, training and competition preparation of high-performance horses while developing her own riding and professional skills to an exceptional standard.

Her employer Ferdinand Eilberg praised her commitment from day one:

“Her commitment and attendance record for someone of her years, was excellent.”

One of Holly’s biggest opportunities during her apprenticeship was riding Maria Eilberg’s Grand Prix schoolmaster, Royal Concert. Holly embraced the challenge and successfully competed him at Advanced Medium level.

Eilberg says:

“She benefitted during her time with us from the lease of our Grand Prix Schoolmaster ‘Royal Concert’ to advance her riding skill – Holly greatly improved her core stability and showed determination and ability to master some of the more advanced movements.

Holly is an ambitious young lady with determination to succeed. She worked hard throughout her time with us and I was happy to see her complete her apprenticeship successfully.”

After completing her apprenticeship in April 2026, Holly secured her first professional role with international dressage rider and trainer Andrew Gould, a fantastic achievement and the next step in what promises to be an exciting career.

She’ll also be taking her own German Riding Pony, Nesquik-B, with her. Holly hopes to back and produce him herself, with the long-term goal of competing at FEI Pony level.

Alongside her riding and career achievements, Holly is also a dedicated mentor on the British Dressage Youth Panel, supporting young riders and helping them explore apprenticeship opportunities within the equestrian industry.

Holly’s journey is a fantastic example of where hard work, ambition and a willingness to learn can take you. We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and look forward to following her future success.

Congratulations, Holly – what an incredible start to your dressage career. 🐴✨
