What Haddon Training qualifications are available in Wales?

Across Wales, we provide:

Horse Care incorporating Level 2 Horse Care and Level 3 Horse Care and Management.

Groom Pathway BHS Stages.

Animal Care incorporating Level 2 and Level 3, which includes options for dog grooming and management training.

Educ8 also offers a range of other qualifications, including Childcare, Digital Marketing, Hairdressing and Clinical Healthcare Support.

 

Horse Care

Whether individuals are interested in riding, non-riding, coaching, or breeding, our learners can specialise in an area that suits their career aspirations. These courses combine assignments and practical observations, culminating in an assessment of a portfolio of evidence. Qualifications are supported by an assigned Trainer Coach and the chosen employer, and participants will receive monthly visits to offer support and guidance. Additionally, there is the expectation for those who require it, to enhance essential skills in mathematics and English, enabling participants to attain additional qualifications in these areas.

We are also delighted to be able to offer Groom pathway BHS stages in Wales, giving people the opportunity to achieve the Stage 2 BHSQ Foundation Groom, Stage 3 BHSQ Groom or Stage 4 BHSQ Senior Yard Manager.

Animal Care

Our animal care qualifications are varied and span a range of areas within the industry, including animal care and welfare, dog grooming, pet care and retail and zoos and wildlife establishments. These courses combine assignments and hands-on skills development, enabling an evaluation of a portfolio of evidence upon completion. Accreditation is supported by a designated Trainer Coach and the selected employer, with regular monthly visits provided to offer assistance and direction to participants.

Welsh Government are committed to raising the levels of maths and English across Wales, and for those who don’t already hold a relevant grade in these areas there is the expectation to attain qualifications in these areas, supported by a Trainer Coach.

In 2021 Haddon Training became part of the Educ8 Training Group, enabling us to expand and grow further than ever before. Educ8 specialises in practical training across a wide range of sectors specifically in Wales. By enabling Haddon Training in Wales to be incorporated into this, it ensures all our apprenticeships in Wales can be found in one place.

How much do apprenticeships in Wales cost?

Our apprenticeships in Wales incur no expenses for the apprentice or their employer, as they are entirely funded by the Welsh Government. Individuals aged 16 and above are eligible to apply and will be employed on an apprenticeship wage. If a participant is currently employed where they will undertake the apprenticeship, their salary will remain unaffected while they study with us.
