Located in the beautiful Shropshire countryside near Shrewsbury, Redshaws Equine Learning provides a specialist Alternative Provision designed to support children and young people who find mainstream education challenging.
Using a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, the provision combines equine-assisted learning with tailored educational programmes that develop confidence, connection, emotional well-being and personal development.

Every programme at Redshaws is tailored to the individual, providing a supportive and engaging environment where young people can learn at their own pace while working towards recognised equine qualifications and personal development goals. Practical activities including horse care, stable management and groundwork are carefully integrated with curriculum-linked learning, helping participants build communication, teamwork, responsibility and self-esteem.
By working closely with schools, local authorities and families, Redshaws delivers flexible Alternative Provision that re-engages learners with education, equips them with valuable life skills and creates meaningful pathways towards further learning, training and future employment.

These courses are made for those who found school hard. The learning is done is small pieces and is made for you to understand. You will have support from experienced people who know how to help you and want you to succeed. Everything about the course is made for you so that you can get experience doing something you enjoy.
Animals including horses have been proven to increase levels of happiness and well-being. Being around animals and learning to take care of them enables people to develop skills of empathy and understanding.
