Ride High Equestrian Centre: Equine-based Learning for SEND

We are delighted to announce our latest Alternative Provision partnership with Ride High Equestrian Centre, based in Milton Keynes. This collaboration offers an inspiring opportunity for young people aged 14–25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to continue their education in a safe, supportive, and equine-focused environment.

The programme at Ride High is designed to combine practical horse care skills with accredited learning, giving learners the chance to develop both vocational knowledge and valuable life skills.

Learners can choose between a riding or non-riding pathway and will gain experience in areas such as:

Alongside these practical skills, learners will work towards recognised qualifications at Award, Certificate, or Diploma level.

Programmes can be tailored over one or two years depending on individual needs

3 days per week (Monday–Friday)

Courses run in six-week blocks

The programme is delivered by Ride High’s experienced SEND team, with additional personalised guidance from a dedicated Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

To help learners feel confident and ready, optional transition sessions will be available before the official start date. All essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as riding hats and boots will be provided, though learners may also bring their own.
