Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your history in the industry and your business?
Shardeloes Farm has been welcoming riding enthusiasts of every level and ability for over 30 years. While we’ve established an enviable reputation thanks to our friendly and professional service, there’s so much more to us than meets the eye.
Whether we’re delivering top-class riding tuition, setting the scene for the silver screen, or simply providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome at Shardeloes. Our Equestrian Centre is the beating heart of Shardeloes Farm. We’ve been helping riders realise their unique goals and ambitions since the 1990s and are proud to have evolved into one of the best riding schools in the Chilterns. For us, it’s testament to our commitment to providing expert tutoring, friendly, well-trained horses, and top-class facilities.
When did you first start hiring apprentices, and what motivated you to take this step?
We have recently just started again with hiring apprentices. This was something that we did regularly years ago. We have now started this back up again as we have someone who can coordinate this again and we see the benefits to both the students and the business combined.
What benefits have you seen in your business from having apprentices on your team?
The apprentices end up becoming competent and driven young people and in return then provide quality work to the business.
